An Owasso woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after police say she used two children to help her shoplift from a J.C. Penney.

Jessica Renee Walters, 32, was arrested for larceny from a retailer and two counts of aiding in the delinquency of a minor.

Owasso police say they were contacted by a loss prevention officer at the J.C. Penney at 9056 North 121st East Avenue in Owasso. They were told Walters and two children, ages unknown, took several pieces of clothing and jewelry into a fitting room then left the fitting room with different merchandise.

The loss prevention worker searched the dressing room and found discarded hangars and price tags, but none of the clothing items, an arrest and booking report states.

When Walters and the two girls started to leave the store without paying, the loss prevention officer said he approached them and recovered goods from all three of their purses. The total cash value was $412, according to the arrest report.

The two children were turned over to a family member, police say.
