Hundreds of students from Tulsa Public Schools will be heading outside Tuesday morning to celebrate Earth Day - and the community is also invited.

Students from eight schools will be heading to Veterans Park at 9 a.m. for a program called Celebrate Community.

Eco-friendly businesses and community resource groups will have booths on either side of the park.

There will be musical performances including one on recycled drums. Victoria Bartlett will open the ceremonies and help with a tree planting.

TPS says about 600 students will attend.

Celebrate Community will be underway at Veteran's Park until 2 p.m.  Veteran's Park is located near downtown Tulsa at 1875 South Boulder Drive.
