Tulsa Police say road rage led to a chase, shooting and crash Thursday evening.

Police say a car and an SUV were involved in a chase westbound on 71st Street at about 8:45 p.m.

Officers said other drivers reported shots fired from at least one of the vehicles during the chase. The chase ended at 71st and Sheridan when one of the vehicles struck two cars waiting for a red light.

Police found the SUV involved in the chase abandoned in a store parking lot and a handgun lying nearby.

"After they collided with some of the other cars they just made a U-turn through the parking lot and stopped down there and the occupants of that car fled from that vehicle and ran northbound," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Mark Fitzgerald.

Sgt. Fitzgerald says the other car involved in the chase drove off.

Tulsa Police say there were no reported injuries in the two cars struck at the intersection.

Police are still investigating.
