The US Postal Service says the only post office in eastern Oklahoma open Tuesday evening for last-minute tax filers seeking an April 15 postmark is at the Tulsa International Airport.

The US Postal Service says the post office located at 2601 North Cargo Road is open from 2 p.m. until midnight.  Postal employees will be outside hand collecting mail.

Everywhere else, USPS says make sure you visit your local post office before close of business Tuesday.

The postal service says if you use a collection box, double check the pick-up schedule posted on the mail box.

And as always, the post office says to make sure you have the correct postage affixed and a return address on your envelope. USPS says one ounce is 49 cents. The second ounce is an additional 21 cents.

The IRS says it will not pay postage due and will return items to sender.

The Oklahoma Tax Commission says about 1.4 million Oklahomans have filed returns, which is less than normal. And according to the IRS, 160,000 Oklahomans will file for an extension this year.
