Bartlesville Police arrested a Tulsa man they say attempted to meet a 12-year-old girl at a local mall Wednesday.

In a probable cause affidavit, police said Trenton Earp, 19, was communicating with the girl via text messages and Facebook.

The girl's mother discovered the messages and Facebook posts and notified police.

According to police, the daughter told her mother she had sent Earp several nude photographs of herself.

On March 5, police posed as the daughter and set up a meeting with Earp. Police say Earp said he would pick up the girl "and bring her home after the meeting."

The affidavit states after police arrested Earp and seized his cell phone, he told officers it contained three obscene images of the girl.

Police booked Earp into jail on a complaint of Lewd or Indecent Proposal or Acts to a Child Under 16.

During a court appearance Wednesday, a judge set Trenton Earp's bond at $10,000 and his next court appearance for March 11, 2014.
