Crash On I-44 Backs Up Traffic East Of Catoosa

A crash in the westbound lanes I-44 east of 193rd East Avenue backed up traffic for over a mile Monday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Jeep struck the rear bumper of a Chevrolet pickup which had slowed for traffic.

The pickup sustained relatively minor damage, but the Jeep didn't fare so well.

Troopers said neither driver was seriously hurt, but the crash in the inside lane of I-44 caused westbound traffic to slow down as it moved pass the crash scene.
