A walk in Tuesday afternoon's sunshine landed an elderly Tulsa woman in the hospital, after a car backed into her.
In a neighborhood near 76th & Memorial, police said an elderly woman was out using her walker to get some fresh air, when a car backed out of the driveway and hit her.
Tulsa Police said the car hit the 89-year-old woman's right side; breaking her leg, hip and arm.
Neighbors said the woman walks the street daily, greeting everyone she passes.
"I know she's a real sweet lady and I always watch out for her. You know, she's on a walker, she walks very, very, slow, and sometimes she's hunched over," said neighbor Daniel LeBarre. "But she gets out on her own."
Police said the driver could be ticketed within a month.
