Garth Brooks was in Dublin on Monday to announce he will be returning to Ireland in July 2014 for two very special performances.
The shows, called The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event, will take place in Croke Park July 25 and 26.
"Before we go back on tour in the Fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band, and crew. In 1997, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction. 130,000 plus of some of the greatest fans in the world. I was quoted then as saying 'When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again...this time to the brink.' And we're back to do just that," said Garth Brooks.
Garth was recently inducted into the International Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York as well as the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. In October he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
On November 29, 2013, Garth performed in a CBS special called "Live From Las Vegas."
