World War II Veterans Honored In Claremore

The event Friday at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore was for the nearly 150 World War II veterans in Oklahoma who can't participate in the Honor Flights to Washington D.C.

More than 100 of Oklahoma's bravest were honored Friday.

It's called operation 4G, Giving to the Grounded Greatest Generation.

The event Friday at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore was for the nearly 150 World War II veterans in Oklahoma who can't participate in the Honor Flights to Washington D.C.

Area children took part in a mail call, handing out letters of appreciation they wrote to honor the veterans.
