Tulsa Man Executed For 1995 Murder

A Tulsa man convicted of masterminding the killing of a co-worker at a QuikTrip at 215 North Garnett is scheduled to be executed Thursday evening in at the state penitentiary in McAlester.

A Tulsa man convicted of masterminding the killing of a co-worker at a QuikTrip at 215 North Garnett was executed Thursday evening in at the state penitentiary in McAlester.

38-year-old Michael Wilson was executed by lethal injection at 6:06 p.m.

Wilson worked with the victim, Richard Yost, 30, and was one of the four men convicted in the 1995 murder.

Tulsa Police say Yost was struck 54 times with an aluminum baseball bat, leading to his death.

Two of Wilson's co-defendants. Darwin Brown and Billy Alverson have been executed for the crime. Brown was executed in 2009 and Alverson in 2011. A fourth man, Richard Harjo, was sentenced to life in prison.
