Freezing rain and drizzle are falling across much of southeastern Oklahoma. The National Weather Service office in Tulsa has issued a winter weather advisory until noon on Thursday.
The advisory includes Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell, Hughes, Latimer, LeFlore, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, Ofuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Pittsburg, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington counties.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a number of the roads and highways the Sallisaw area are slick.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has sand trucks out applying sand and salt to a several highways.
OHP is reminding drivers to reduce speed and increase following distance when traveling on slick roads.

At least one eastern Oklahoma school district closed late Wednesday morning because of the icy road conditions.
