Microsoft now offers the Cherokee language in the Office suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
A dozen Cherokee speakers, like John Ross, have spent two years translating modern terms.
They told News On 6 last month that it would help the tribe pass on the language to young people.
Cherokee is also now available on Windows 8, G-Mail, as well as the iPhone and iPad.
The next project is adding Cherokee to the Android operating system.
