It was pretty rough getting around in Henryetta Thursday night.

We spoke with a few drivers who gave up and pulled over. Sleet and freezing rain fell in Henryetta for most of the day and it took a toll on the roads.

Several truckers we talked to along Highway 75 said they aren't going anywhere until this clears up.

Okmulgee County Emergency Manager Tim Craighton is urging people there to stay off the road. They've been in close contact with law enforcement across the county, who tell them the roads are hazardous to drive.

That warning comes as no surprise to Kevin Lewis, a semi truck driver who had to stop in Henryetta on his way from Mississippi to California.

Craighton said, if conditions get worse and they start seeing power outages, they'll have to switch gears. At that point, he would bring in someone from every law enforcement and emergency agency in the county to the operations center in Okmulgee, to coordinate a response.
