A Sperry man has been convicted of knowingly concealing stolen property.

Terry Lee Jett, 42, was convicted after he knowingly sold stolen cattle at the Collinsville livestock auction in Collinsville.

According to Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger Bart Perrier, who led the investigation, in August 2011, Jett stole and sold nine head of cattle from an Osage County rancher who had hired him to catch and pen his cattle.

Those cattle were positively identified through sale barn records as the cattle that were stolen.

Jett was sentenced to five years in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and was fined $1,200 and $732 in court costs.
