Tulsa homicide detectives have identified the man firefighters found dead inside a burned abandoned apartment early Sunday morning.

Police said 33-year-old Kenson St. Remy's body was on fire when firefighters found him in the apartment at 63rd and Peoria Avenue.

The woman police say was his girlfriend, Doreatha Poland, 27, was arrested on complaints of first degree murder and first degree arson.

Neighbors reported hearing an argument in the apartment prior to the fire, according to an arrest report.

Detectives found Poland walking along South Peoria Avenue and interviewed her. She reportedly told police that she was at her mother's apartment at Fairmont Terrace at the time of the fire, but her family told investigators she left Fairmont Terrace one or two hours before the fire. Poland later admitted she had gone to her boyfriend's apartment to talk to him.

Poland is being held without bond in the Tulsa County jail.
