Colorful balloons lifted into the Tulsa sky Thursday, as the Tulsa Metro Baptist Network celebrated the beginnings of its new headquarters.

The network, made up of 161 southern Baptist Churches in the Tulsa area, lost its headquarters as part of the I-44 widening project.

Now, they're building a new one near 28th and Yale.

"We have four priorities: Church revitalization, impact lostness, church planting, and leadership development and care. And so that's what we do to support the churches," said Randy Osborn, of the Tulsa Metro Baptist Network.

The network gets its building permit next month. Once construction begins, it will take about six months to finish.
