Woman Killed In Southeast OKlahoma ATV Crash

A Mustang, Oklahoma resident is dead after an ATV she was riding crashed into a tree on a forest road in McCurtain County Thursday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The OHP says Reta Jean Brown, 53, was riding on a 2007 Yamaha ATV south of Bethel just over seven miles west of Highway 259.

Troopers say Brown was wearing a helmet at the time of the 4 pm crash.

The OHP report says troopers don't know why Brown ran off the road and hit the tree.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
