Tulsa MET Promotes 'Compost Day' On Guthrie Green

The Metropolitan Environmental Trust hosted "Compost Day" at the Guthrie Green, while crowds came out for Food Truck Wednesday.

Throughout the day, the MET and singer Stan Slaughter are going around the area to encourage recycling and composting.

"It's fall, so it's the perfect time to collect those leaves and add them to your compost," said Annie Tyndall, with the MET.

The event continues Wednesday night at the Tulsa Garden Center. Slaughter, the so-called "Eco Troubadour," will be there performing and you can get your own compost bin.
