The Family Safety Center closed its doors for the last time Friday at its 30th Street and Harvard location.
The FCS is moving to a new expanded location across town at the Police Courts Building at 600 Civic Center Plaza.
The city donated the space and thousands of dollars to help the FCS move into the new area. This new location will better help the FCS protect victims of domestic violence and also help Tulsa Police be more involved in that process.
"I think that, by them coming here and having that experience with police officers, they're going to feel much safer," said Tulsa Police Major Walter Evans.
The safety center will open its doors at its new location in downtown Monday.
