Five-Car Crash Backs Up Westbound I-44 Traffic At Hard Rock Casino

The OHP closed westbound lanes of I-44 in front of the Hard Rock Casino Friday morning because of a crash involving five cars. 

The crash was near the 193^rd East Avenue interchange. 

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says westbound traffic was being detoured onto the inside shoulder of the interstate highway. 

News On 6 viewers say the crash backed up traffic for miles. ODOT advised drivers to seek an alternate route. 

There is no word on injuries.

The westbound lanes were closed for about an hour.
