State troopers said a Tulsa motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck in Mayes County Thursday evening.

The OHP says it happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 412, near Locust Grove, around 6:15 p.m.

Troopers said Randall Miles, 48, went too fast into a curve on his 2008 Triumph and went left of center, striking the front left fender of the Ford pickup driven by 41-year-old Jody Burton, of Locust Grove.

Miles was thrown from the bike and died at the scene, troopers said in the report on the crash. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said he was not wearing a helmet.

Burton was reportedly not injured in the crash.
