An former professor from the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee is scheduled to be in federal court on Friday.
Gene Nunn was taken into custody on Aug. 20 on a federal indictment. He's charged with conspiracy and possession of stolen firearms.
Prosecutors claim that in the fall of 2011, Nunn received at least 14 firearms from a co-conspirator, which he knew were stolen, then sold at least eight of them.
The weapons include shotguns, rifles, pistols and revolvers.
OSU IT put Nunn on administrative leave, and he resigned a short time later.
He'd been a full-time instructor in the High Voltage Electricity program since 2000.
