Tulsa police are investigating the Monday death of a 2-year-old boy. They announced Wednesday they were looking for a man they believed may have information that could help them.

Child Crisis detectives have since located and interviewed Terrance Andrew Gaines, 27.

The boy, who had signs of trauma on his body, died at St. Francis Hospital on Monday morning. That started an investigation into a possible homicide.

No arrests have been announced in the case, at this time.

Police and EMSA said a 911 call came in about a child in distress at 8:20 a.m., while a woman was on her way to the hospital in a private car. The call disconnected, and while 911 was trying to reconnect, the woman stopped and flagged down an ambulance and police car that were headed to St. Francis.

Police say the little boy was already in critical condition.

EMSA took the child to St. Francis, where he died shortly afterward.
