Two Crashes Slow Morning Traffic On I-44 In Tulsa

Two crashes on I-44 near Lewis in Tulsa backed up traffic Wednesday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said an eastbound pickup truck hit a concrete barrier in the construction zone just after 6 a.m. Troopers said five people in the pickup were injured and were taken to the hospital.

The OHP says the backup from that crash resulted in a second crash involving two cars also in the eastbound lanes.

EMSA took two people from that crash to the hospital.
