A 16-year-old boy, driving his six siblings to school, slammed head-on into another vehicle, killing a man from Collinsville, CBS affiliate in Phoenix, KPHO, reports.

Matthew Dejarnett moved to Phoenix from Oklahoma a couple of months ago to go to college.

Police say on Monday, a teenager, driving without a license, hit and killed Dejarnett.

Witnesses told police the boy was speeding and passing other drivers on the right side of the road, before he lost control and hit Dejarnett's car.

"He was always there if you needed him. He was always a good person to talk to. He always had advice. It was my pleasure to know him," said Dejarnett's friend, Robert Hernandez.

Three of the teenager's little brothers were also killed. Police say none of the children were wearing seatbelts or in car seats.

Police say the 16-year-old driver may have been under the influence.

CBS affiliate in Phoenix, KPHO, has more on the crash.
