A QuikTrip beer vendor thwarted an attempted burglar by locking him in a delivery truck early Friday morning, according to Tulsa police.

The Budweiser driver told police he noticed a man -- identified later as ex-convict Myron Goff, 53 -- snooping inside his truck and trying to steal beer while it was parked outside the convenience store at 15th Street and Denver Avenue.

The driver sneaked around the side of the truck, locked Goff in one of the stalls and called authorities about 6 a.m., police said.

Officers weren't able to arrest Goff since nothing was stolen. He was cited for trespassing.

News On 6 requested surveillance video from QuikTrip Corp. We were told the company's policy is not to release video unless it helps police catch a suspect. A QT spokesperson did say the angle at which the truck was parked doesn't give a clear shot of Goff entering.

Goff has spent time in and out of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, mostly for burglary-related offenses. His first prison stint was a 22-year sentence in 1987, but he was paroled four years later. He violated his parole in 1994 and has been back in state penitentiaries six times since, some of those for multiple convictions.

He was last released from prison in April 2012 after serving about 16 months of two four-year sentences for false impersonation and concealing stolen property.

According to DOC online records, Goff also goes by many aliases, including Craig Fox, Myron Ginnie, Craig Goff, Ginnie Goff and Ginnie Guinea.
