Tulsa's oldest theater is new again. The historic Circle Cinema had its grand re-opening Monday, on its 85th anniversary.
The vintage facade on the outside has been restored and inside, there's a new lobby, snack bar, and an auditorium that's bigger than ever.
Circle Cinema has come and gone since it was built in the 1920s. At one point it was an adult theater.
"It was just very, very bad," said co-owner Clark Wiens. "But we knew that we had to make it something different here, because this was the last remaining theater. And we knew that we had a goal to keep that going, and to bring the best films possible to Tulsa."
Circle Cinema is located off Lewis and Admiral. It showcases independent films, and other speciality movies.
