Man's Body Pulled From Arkansas River In Sand Springs

Crews pulled a man's body out of the Arkansas River Monday evening, after he was spotted floating near the Highway 97 bridge.

Sand Springs Police and Fire Department, as well as Tulsa County Sheriff's Office and EMSA responded Monday around 7 p.m.

Police said the body was spotted by a woman fishing. Within an hour, the man's body was recovered.

An investigator told News On 6 it appears the body may have been in the water for multiple days.

Investigators say they are searching up and down the banks of the river, trying to figure out where the man might have come from.
