Drillers Pitching Leads Tulsa to Shutout Of San Antonio

Collin McHugh pitched seven shutout innings to help Tulsa shut out San Antonio, 3-0 Friday night.

The Tulsa Drillers got an excellent performance from their pitching staff to blank the San Antonio Missions, 3-0 Friday night.

Collin McHugh gave up four hits over seven innings while striking out seven, picking up his first win of the season. Cole White worked a perfect ninth inning for his eighth save of the year. Dan Houston struck out one batter in his one inning of work.

Tulsa pitching walked zero batters during the game.

Donn Roach took the loss for San Antonio.

The Drillers jumped on top early, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning on an RBI single from Kiel Roling and an RBI double from Kyle Parker later in the inning.

Parker came around to score in the fourth inning on an RBI single from Jayson Langfels for the final margin.

The Drillers continue their tour of Texas on Saturday when they start a four-game series with Corpus Christi at 6:05 p.m.
