Driver Arrested On Warrants After Running From Tulsa Police

A man is in custody after a short police chase in North Tulsa early Thursday.

Tulsa Police say an officer spotted an SUV speeding on 73rd East Avenue at about 5 a.m.

When he attempted to stop the SUV near Admiral and Sheridan, the driver turned off the SUV's lights and drove into a neighborhood.

Police say the SUV stopped in the 1400 block of North Kingston and four males jumped out and ran away.

Police tracked down three of the four, including the driver. Tulsa Police say the driver had several outstanding warrants and they took him to the Tulsa County jail.

Police never found the fourth male.
