A 3-year-old Cleveland boy is in a Tulsa hospital following a Tuesday car crash in Pawnee County that hurt six other people.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash happened at about 2 p.m. on Oklahoma 99, 1 mile north of Hallett.
Brenda Smith, 62, was northbound in a 2002 Mazda when the car went off the road and struck a rock, causing it to roll three times and coming to rest on its wheels.
According to the collision report, Smith had six children in the car with her. Four of the children, -- Jeremiah Smith, 2, Anthony Smith, 3, Christopher Smith, 9, and Noah Smith, 11 -- are from Cleveland. A 15-year-old passenger, Michael Hughes, is from Hallett and 16-year-old Micheal Smith Jr. is from Jennings.
The driver and five of the children were treated and released. The 3-year-old child is being treated for a head injury, according to the OHP.
Troopers said an improper tire on the car caused the crash, and no one in the car was wearing a seat belt.
