Elderly Grove Couple Killed In Craig County Crash

An elderly couple died when the driver inexplicably drove off the road and struck a culvert on Highway 2 in Craig County Tuesday afternoon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the 2004 Toyota driven by Donald Charles Kelley, 77, went off the road to the left, hit a culvert, rolled twice and came to rest on its wheels.

Troopers say he died at the scene and his wife, Nancy Kelley, 76, died on the way to the hospital.

According to the OHP report, the cause of the wreck is under investigation. The report shows the two were not wearing their seatbelts and were both ejected from the vehicle.
