As storms continued to devastate central Oklahoma Monday, a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team out of Oklahoma was on the ground in Shawnee, helping clear debris from Sunday's storms.
The rapid relief team got the call to help at 9 a.m. Monday morning and packed up to head south.
We caught up with the team as they prepared to leave.
"We have probably nine or 10 chainsaws on the trailer with eight or 10 guys, right now. We just go in and get after it and start clearing areas, so that folks can get in and out of critical areas," said Randy Swift, of the First Baptist Church of Claremore.
The Baptist General Convention in Oklahoma is coordinating the group's efforts.
