The strange weather in Tulsa this spring is forcing the National Weather Service to update its records.

The National Weather Service office in Tulsa reports a trace of snow fell today, making May 2, 2013, the date of the latest snowfall ever recorded in Tulsa.

The previous record for the latest snowfall in Tulsa, which was a trace, was April 18, 1953.

The record for the latest measurable snowfall in Tulsa is April 12, 1957, and so far that record still stands.

News On 6 meteorologists say more records may fall tomorrow morning. They say there's a chance Tulsa could set a new record for low temperature on Friday.

Most of northeastern Oklahoman is under a freeze warning, but some counties are even under a winter weather advisory, too.
