QuikTrip Expanding To Muskogee

QuikTrip has confirmed it will be building a "travel center-generation III" store in Muskogee within the next year.

The Tulsa-based corporation says the new store will be located on the southwest corner of Highway 69 and Shawnee Bypass.

QuikTrip spokesman Mike Thornburgh says they have and continue to work with a number of different government entities to make the new store a reality.

He says QuikTrip is well represented in the Tulsa metro area and the company felt an expansion into the Muskogee market was good for QuikTrip and the community.

Thornburgh says if all goes smoothly, the new store could open by the fall of 2014.

Founded in 1958, QuikTrip has more 650 stores in eleven states.
