A Dewey mother charged with child neglect pleaded no contest during a Washington County court hearing Wednesday.

The judge sentenced Danielle Connor, 25, to eight years of supervised probation.

Connor was charged in January 2012 after Dewey Police say she left a 16-month-old in a bathtub full of hot water, causing severe water burns over 30 percent of the child's body.

Her first trial ended in a hung jury in 2012 and a mistrial was declared in her second trial in March.

A third trial was set to begin April 22, 2013.
