Sleepy Driver Runs Off Interstate 44 In Catoosa

A sleepy driver is expected to be OK after rolling his SUV in Catoosa Tuesday at about 8:15 a.m.  The driver was eastbound on Interstate 44 at 193rd Street East when he fell asleep at the wheel, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

His SUV left the roadway to the right, crossing the entrance ramp at 193rd, hitting a highway sign and overturning on a rocky culvert.

Catoosa firefighters had to free the driver, but he was not injured, troopers say.
