Muskogee Man Charged In Deadly Crash Of Tulsa Woman

A Muskogee man charged with the death of a Tulsa woman in December 2012 has been arrested in Muskogee County.

Sothea McConnell, 23, was charged on Tuesday and arrested for first-degree manslaughter in the death of Lesley Turay, 46.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol states in its report that McConnell was driving a 1997 GMC Yukon on State Highway 16 when he crossed the center line into the path of Turay's 2001 Cadillac, hitting her head-on.

Turay was pronounced dead at the scene. McConnell was taken to a Tulsa hospital. The OHP collision report states McConnell smelled of alcohol at the time of the crash.

On Tuesday, McConnell was booked into the Muskogee County jail on $200,000 bond.

His next court appearance is April 15.
