A Dewey woman charged with child neglect will not have the charged dismissed.

A Washington County judge ruled Wednesday, Danielle Conner, 25, whose first trial ended in a hung jury and a mistrial declared in her second trial, must still face trial on the charge.

Connor was charged in January 2012 after Dewey Police say she left a 16-month-old toddler in a bathtub full of hot water, causing severe water burns over 30 percent of the child's body.

Conner acknowledged on the witness stand in her first trial that she was responsible for her children on the night of the injury and agreed with the prosecutor she hadn't been supervising the children closely enough.

Conner's two children remain in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

A new trial is set for April 22, 2013.
