A Green Country community is fighting to save its post office.
The U.S. Postal Service is billions of dollars in debt and has been closing sorting centers and cutting workers, as it struggles to stay afloat.
The post office in Webbers Falls is one of those that could soon be closed.
"A lot of people around this town would be put out, especially the elderly people, because many of them can only walk here, they can't even drive anymore," said resident Arthur Laidley.
Webbers Falls will keep its post office for now, but it'll only be open six hours a day, instead of eight.
The next closest post office is in Gore, four miles away and on the other side of the Arkansas River.
