Northeastern State's Taylor Lewis was named a 2013 WBCA Division II Coaches' All-America Honorable Mention.
The All-America teams were selected by a vote of the selection committee. The committee is composed of one representative from each of the eight geographical regions and a chairperson.
Lewis, a senior guard from Broken Arrow, Okla., earns All-America accolades after being named the MIAA Co-Player of the Year. She has also been named to the Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team and the All-MIAA First Team.
All but one member of the All-MIAA First Team earned WBCA Honorable Mention All-America accolades. Those joining Lewis were Washburn's Laura Kinderknecht, Central Missouri's Keauna Flax, and Pittsburg State's Lizzy Jeronimus,
Lewis finished third in the league in scoring at 16.5 points per game and reached double figures in all but two games. She also averaged 18.1 ppg during league contests.
She led the entire MIAA and is currently third in the nation in free-throw percentage (.899). She also led the MIAA in three-point field goals made per game (3.0) and three-point field goal percentage (.423). She is seventh and ninth in the nation, respectively, in those two categories.
Lewis led Northeastern State (19-8, 14-4 MIAA) to a second-place tie in its inaugural season in the MIAA.
