The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a teenage runaway who is heavily armed. The sheriff’s office Wednesday released the name and picture of the teen.

Kenneth Chaffin, 17, ran away from his parents’ house, located in the 3200 block of Waco Road, on the west side of Pottawatomie County Monday night. According to authorities, he has nine handguns, six riffles and 1500-2000 rounds of ammunition.

Investigators say the teenager stole his parents’ medication and their pickup truck. The truck is described as a red, 1991 Ford Ranger with an Oklahoma tag 680HSQ. Police say the windows of the truck are tinted, and the driver’s side window has white lettering on it. There is also a Browning Sticker on the back window of the truck.

Authorities say they do not know Chaffin’s intent, but they are actively searching for him and are concerned for his as well as the community’s safety.

If you have seen the vehicle, or Chaffin, or have any information about his whereabouts, call 911 immediately.
