Voters in the Sand Springs, Liberty and Locust Grove school districts gave the green light to more money for their schools Tuesday.
Two school bonds were on the ballot in Sand Springs: one for construction, the other for new school buses. The $5,365,000 bond, Proposition 1 passed with 86.5 percent of the vote. Proposition 2, costing $900,000 passed with 86.4-percent.
100-percent of those who voted in the Liberty School district bond election, 46 voters approved a $165,000 bond issue for the district.
In Mayes County, Locust Grove voters passed two school bonds, also dealing with construction and transportation.
The $9 million Proposition 1 passed by 62 percent, with 522 votes, and Proposition 2, for $300,000, passed by 72 percent, with 605 votes.
