Authorities say a Wynona man was hired to break and train two horses but instead made off with them. Michael John Delaney II pleaded guilty last week on two felony counts of larceny of a domestic animal.

Authorities say Delaney took the horses in for training but failed to return them at the owner's request. Special Ranger Bart Perrier with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association located one of the horses that had been traded.

Chief Investigator Charlie Cartwright with the Osage County Sheriff's Office also investigated the crime.

Delaney received a 10-year deferred sentence and was ordered to pay $4,200 in restitution and court costs.
