Trial Beginning For Oklahoma Soldier Charged With Murder

An Oklahoma soldier will stand trial for murder Thursday.

Army Private Connell Williams is accused of helping starve his girlfriend's son to death at Fort Sill.

Prosecutors are asking for the death penalty. They say Williams and the boy's mother deprived the 10-year-old of food for months until he finally died.

Candice Holloway cut a deal and will spend 30 years in prison.

She will also testify against Williams.
