Oral Roberts University senior guard Kevi Luper has been named Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
The weekly honor is the fourth of the season for the Adair native and the 18th of Luper's career, including 14 Summit League Player of the Week honors.
Luper averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals last week as ORU earned a pair of victories. The senior scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 90-40 victory over Sam Houston State on February 14, and she added 26 points and five steals in an 81-59 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi two days later.
The victories vaulted ORU (13-11, 10-4 SLC) into sole possession of first place in the Southland Conference standings.
For the season, Luper averages 18.5 points and 2.5 steals per game.
The three-time Summit League Player of the Year currently has 2,720 points, 22nd-most in NCAA Division I career history, and 439 career steals, 11th-most in the DI ranks.
Luper plays her final game at the Mabee Center on Tuesday, February 19, when the Golden Eagles host Central Arkansas. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT.
