Oklahoma Woman Faces Murder Trial In Death Of Newborn Son

An Oklahoma woman is scheduled to go on trial in Iowa Monday, accused of killing her newborn baby son nearly 18 months ago.

Thirty-two-year-old Hillary Tyler, of Mulhall, is accused of killing the boy September 20, 2011, after giving birth to him in a Fort Dodge motel room. Tyler had been staying at the Super 8 while in Fort Dodge for temporary work, according to the Fort Dodge Messenger.

Police received a call from a motel employee and found the newborn's body.

Tyler is in jail on a $1 million bond.

The trial was postponed on three earlier dates.
