Officers with Tulsa Police and Tulsa Public Schools chased down two juveniles they say were trying to break into the old Chouteau Elementary School Wednesday afternoon.

The building in west Tulsa is vacant now and nothing was taken.

Nearby Central High School, at 3100 West Edison Street in Tulsa, was put on lockdown during the chase as a precaution.

TPS said the suspects were all students at Central High. When officers spotted the teens, they ran back toward the high school.

Because Central was locked down, the suspects couldn't get back inside, so officers were able to apprehend them.
