Wagoner County Man Arrested For Kidnapping, Attempted Murder Of His Wife

Wagoner County deputies arrested a man Wednesday night for holding his wife against her will and attempting to kill her.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home near 257 East Avenue and East 91st Street in Broken Arrow Wednesday.

They say Travis Brian Neighbors, 38, had handcuffed his wife and was holding her against her will.

The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office says Neighbors tried to force her to take prescription pills and also attempted to suffocate her more than once.

When deputies made contact with him, Neighbors tried to escape, but was captured, the Sheriff's office said. They say Neighbors had marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Neighbors is being held at the Wagoner County Jail. No bond has been set.
