A man is shot three times in the back outside an east Tulsa apartment complex late Thursday and police are asking for the public's help, because police say the victim is refusing to cooperate.
Tulsa Police got the call just after 11 p.m. for shots being fired at the Plaza Hills East Apartments near 129th East Avenue and 21st Street.
When officers arrived, they found a 27-year-old man lying on the ground bleeding from gunshot wounds.
At the crime scene, police say they recovered several handguns and a short time later recovered a third handgun during a traffic stop nearby.
Tulsa Police say that gun appeared to be the one used in the shooting.
So far, police say they've been able to determine there was some sort of argument before the shooting, but finding any eyewitnesses to the actual shooting has been difficult.
"And with it being this cold...people were inside. They heard the arguing, they heard the shots being fired but no one has come forward to say that they've actually saw the incident occur," said Tulsa Police Captain Mike Williams.
Tulsa Police believe the victim knew the shooter. There is no word on the victim's condition.
If you have any information about the shooting, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers 918-596-COPS.
